We are currently seeking a Practice Leader to join our Papanui site. this function will see you investing in evidence-located interventions to make a difference to our tamariki and rangatahi. You will have the opportunity to establish and develop new site initiatives to support our front-line Social Workers.
You will bring your well-developed leadership abilities and organisational expertise to this function, as well as sound expertise of front-line social work. You will play a part in influencing our Social Workers and manager to support them through the provision of training, action plans and new practice tools to strengthen practice.
You will have the opportunity to work with other Practice Leaders to enhance the level of practice across the Christchurch region and Oranga Tamariki to create better results for our tamariki and rangatahi.
The key attributes you must have are the following:
   » Expert level expertise in managing complex practice and casework
   » Proven practice in child protection
   » capability to work collaboratively with peers and external stakeholders
   » Sound expertise of significant legislation, particularly The Oranga Tamariki Act and cultural practice frameworks that support Maori-centred practice
   » Full and clean driver’s licence
   » Full registration with the New Zealand Social Workers Registration Board and a current annual practising certificate
