You would be working across the Regional Intellectual Disability Secure Services. You'll be part of a team of clinical psychologists who are already working together. They'll encourage your professional interests and welcome your expertise in psychological assessment and treatment for individuals and groups. As an active and valued member of a multi-disciplinary team, you'll collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide evidence-based care and rehabilitation according to the Model of Care, which is based on psychological theory and frameworks like the Good Lives Model of Offender Rehabilitation and Positive Behaviour Support. Besides direct clinical work, you'll have opportunities to contribute to improving services. The Intellectual Disability Service is expanding, and psychological knowledge, theory, and process are highly welcomed. The successful candidate will receive support from the broader network of clinical psychologists in MHAIDS. About Our Team: The Forensic Intellectual Disability Service is part of the 3 DHB Mental Health Addiction and Intellectual Disability Services, including adult, youth, and community services. The Regional Intellectual Disability Secure Service (RIDSS) is a supportive and dynamic workplace where autonomous practice, research, and professional development are encouraged. You'll be joining a multi-disciplinary team of health professionals who are dedicated to providing gold-standard care and rehabilitation to the population they serve. The team brings extensive knowledge and expertise in intellectual disability, mental health, and challenging behaviors. About You: You'll need a post-graduate diploma in clinical psychology or equivalent, as well as a master's or doctoral degree in psychology. You must hold an annual practicing certificate and be registered with the clinical scope of practice.
