Specialist, Infection avoidance and Control:HainesAttractJob description:Job Description»Full-time»Permanent »located Auckland or Wellington There is an opportunity to apply for a full-time permanent specialist, infection avoidance and control (IPC) at the Health Quality and Safety Commission. This specialist function for someone who has an in-depth and expert expertise of IPC and broad networks within the IPC sector (ideally across nursing, infectious diseases and microbiology). This position provides advice in this area to the Commission’s staff, advisors, clinical leads and work programmes. The person will also proactively work with the sector to promote service changes that increase performance and quality. The ideal applicant will have excellent interpersonal expertise with the capability to foster good stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership. They will have the capability to develop appropriate networks internally and externally (both virtual and face-to-face) for collaborative work. The Commission is a stand-alone Crown entity with a Board responsible to the Minister of Health. The Commission is responsible for assisting providers across the whole health and discapability sector, both private and public, to improve service safety and quality and therefore results for all those who use these services in New Zealand.
