Hauora Aotearoa Interim Health New Zealand (iHNZ)
   » This is a once in career opportunity to help shape New Zealand’s future Primary and Community Care Services
   » You will play a key function in formulating the strategy and plans for the future delivery of Primary and Community Services
   » You will support the Interim Lead Commissioning Primary and Community Services to implement the new operating model
iHNZ is inviting Expressions of Interest from senior clinicians currently working in Primary and Community Care to join Health New Zealand in this key senior function.
The scope and key deliverables of the function include the following:
   » Advising and supporting the Lead Commissioning Primary and and Community Services to develop the day one operating model for Primary and Community Services
   » Working with specialist clinical groups, colleges, and community providers to find ways to make the system more responsive to health workers and patients
   » Setting out the pathway from the current operating model to the future operating model for clinicians in the Primary and Community Services sector
   » Acting as a champion for the implementation of the new operating model for Primary and Community Services
You will need to be able to demonstrate the capability to prosperously lead clinicians in the Primary and Community Care sector through change in a complex environment at a national level while maintaining high levels of service delivery.
Reforming New Zealand’s health sytem
The Minister of Health has committed to a significant reform to New Zealand’s health system, underpinned by major changes to our system’s structure and operating model. The changes will reduce fragmentation, strengthen leadership abilities and accountcapability and improve equity of access and results for all New Zealanders.
The deliverables you will be responsible for are a critical component of achieving these results.
Te Tiriti o Waitangi
The programme of work is grounded in Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and all functions will involve engagement with diverse stakeholders, and working with M?ori to give effect to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
The function
This is 0.5 FTE (with some flexibility on job size), Information technology will be contracted to 30 June 2022 and Information technology can either be a secondment or a fixed-term appointment.
This is a national team but members are distributed around NZ and flexible working is possible. The function will involve national travel.
