So having to engage with government to register a birth or a death, apply for a wedding licence or begin the path to citizenship should be a straightforward, easy practice. M? te t?nga | About the functionWe are pursuing a passionate and innovative Senior Service Designer to play an integral function in our practice Design team. You'll work closely with other Service Designers and the wider integrated design team to understand the needs of staff and our customers.» You'll be working as part of a multi-functional team to design, develop and implement customer practice improvements and changes to services » You'll identify, lead, or contribute to service and customer practice improvement and development initiatives for customers and our people » You'll apply agreed project methodology, design, and change management practices when implementing product and service changes » You'll be delivering evidence-located service design to inform decision-making and make sure services are designed and developed around the needs of people who use them » You'll be identifying and using insights to develop innovative services by conducting research or uscapability testing with customers and staff It would be great if you also had some familiarity with: » UX and UI design for digital services » New Zealand Government web standards (accessibility and uscapability) » Agile development methodology M?u mahi | Our WorkNew Zealanders expect to be able to access government services seamlessly, irrespective of the specific agency providing the services. Through modernising and future proofing our technology, and improving how information is shared, services will be delivered in a more joined up, effective way providing digital self-service options to customers and other agencies.» Our new customer centred management system is the basis for us to deliver easy to access, integrated, consistent services across multiple government agencies. We're now expanding service and product offerings such as helping families apply for their first passports with a single application. » Modernising the civil registration system is not just about modernising technology, Information technology is about supporting the underpinning fabric of society - a proven identity is the anchor for New Zealanders to access many public and private sector services. Our customers can already order birth, death and marriage certificates and apply for some services online. It's time for an upgrade so we're modernising and future proofing our technology and improving how information is shared and kept secured. » Engagement with iwi is enabling us to lgain about and understand the needs and expectations of different iwi in relation to DIA collecting, storing, and sharing iwi affiliation data. Information from this engagement forms an input into the design and implementation of the modernised civil registration system. This significant area of work is well under way.
