There is a permanent full-time position. This job will cover Waikato North team. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary collaborative team providing ecological assessment, intervention, training and reporting services, advising and supporting schools and early childhood centres to provide inclusive practices that enable student success. You will need strong teaming expertise and the competency to establish effective relationships with wh?nau, parents, families, educators and key providers working within the community. An consciousness and sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity, a strong commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi, the Ministries priorities and the M?ori education strategy ‘Ka Hikitia’, are essential. A expertise of Te Reo me ng? Tikanga and previous prosperous engagement with M?ori is highly desirable. candidates must be registered or eligible for registration as a psychologist or have significant practice in schools. Intern psychologists will be considered. A current driver’s license is required. The Ministry of Education has an equal opportunities policy.
