During their 30 years in operation, they have set operational, product and safety benchmarks in the New Zealand glass industry. Currently employing more than 900 employees in a wide variety of roles including operations, glazing, commercial, driving, manufacturing, engineering, and support services. The purpose of this role you will have complete responsibility for developing and managing the Wellington commercial glazing operation by setting the strategic direction, development of the market through execution of the architectural, specification, sales process and effective project execution, ensuring delivery is in accordance with the agreed program. To be successful as the Contracts Administrator we are looking for the following: Key Responsibilities: » Full financial responsibility of the Wellington glazing business unit » Receive invitations/drawings to quote. Price work and/or delegate as necessary, ensuring pricing is accurate and carried out on time » Provide both technical and standard advice to both clients and staff » Continuous improvement on process and systems. » Identifies and targets commercial glazing projects that align with Metro products and manufacturing competencies » Manage staff with performance reviews, meetings and mentoring to ensure that the companies' goals and objectives are reached Skills & Experience » Demonstrable success using structured sales techniques to increase revenue through new business development and growth across existing customer base. » Thorough knowledge of products and services » Intermediate computer user including MS Office skills » Experience in the retail sales environment, ideally in a growth or new entrant environment. » Advanced understanding of budget/target preparation and management. » Ideally will come from a construction or manufacturing background You will need to pass, a Ministry of Justice Check, Pre-employment drug test and Two Verbal References must be satisfactory prior to commencement of this position.
