The function • We are seeking for a candidate to lead the design and implementation of this organisations strategic approach to research and evaluation, ie in a way that meets strategic goals • You will also evaluate the outputs processes, results and returns of their investments and delivery of services Key responsibilities overview • Evaluation research – To work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to determine their research and evaluation needs and priorities in order to design and deliver evaluation plans and outputs that suit the needs of the organisation • Undertake the technical design and implementation of evaluations including design, scoping, sampling, data collection, analysis (both qualitative and quantitative) and disseminating results through written reports etc, peer-reviewed journal articles, conference presentations and other outputs • Provide technical oversight, direction and quality assurance of evaluations carried out by other members of the team • Service and quality improvement – To champion a high-quality partnership and delivery approach between Research and Evaluation and the rest of the organisation • Provide high-quality, expert advice to the organisation to inform decisions, support the drafting of internal policies and inform responses to solicitations such as requests for proposals or contract tenders • Create a portfolio of evaluation outputs that are communicated through workshops, presentations, publications and other channels, and advise on Findings • Record management • Health & Safety • Cultural respect You • Will be practiced at leading end to end evaluations, applying both quantitative and qualitative research methods • Technical and analytical expertise, using eg MS Excel, evaluation software or web-located tools • practice in working with primary data, databases, analysing information and producing reports • Proven capability to work independently, with minimum supervision and within a team setting • Project planning and management of multiple projects to agreed timelines knowledge of public policy and wellbeing issues relating to New Zealander's • knowledge of performance measurement frameworks • Have an appropriate tertiary qualification which demonstrates the capability to understand and evaluate social and economic phenomena including measurement of results and impact Offer • An excellent income • Free onsite parking • Conveniently located in one of their Auckland city fringe office sites • Work in the house policy (after settling in period) • A Monday to Friday function • Family friendly environment • Handover • Job security (multi govt agency support) • EAP Program etc This is a great opportunity within a well-known organisation who value their staff highly!
