This is great work and kiwifruit are one of natures vitamin powerhouses, essential food for helping the World rebuild after the pandemic. But there's much more on offer here. Our awesome accommodation also gives you the opportunity to make a positive difference in the community you will stay in, Opotiki. An affiliated marine permaculture charitable trust welcomes your involvement. The heritage home by the harbour offers comfortable space for around 10 backpackers. Proper beds, no bunks. Your affordable $165 a week rent is inclusive of such things as washing machine use, endlessfast fibre wifi, salad garden, kayaks, mountain bikes, in season fruit and more. No pesky extra costs. Rooms have water views, pleasant outlook, sunsets. Big house used only for longer term orchard workers. Two gas hot water showers. Your live nearby host ensures the property is kept ship shape. A home that nurters self discovery and postive interaction. The job is 7 days a week, just not on very wet days. If you need a day out to take care of yourself, get a w.o.f or what ever, it's no problem. Opotiki, gateway to the East Coast, has an excellent climate all over the year so usually any wet spells are minimal. Sharing transport is common, or Information technology can be arranged for you. Opotiki is a substantial coastal town that has a New World Supermarket, Pharmacies, Doctors, money machines Museum, Library, pizza, Subway, Kebabs and most all services you might need. The nature setting, fishing for your dinner over the road, some gym equipment, 10 km cycle trail, beach walks, glow worms, rugby games, and much more are all free. Commonly people find they gain the same as elsewhere but save more of their earnings than in other places.
