About the function: A brand new, newly created function working on an exciting, large scale automation cargo project, you will be responsible for providing operational skills and leadership abilities to support key solutions to significant Ports of Tauranga project. To succeed in this function, you will be extremely well versed in operations and will be very strong when Information technology comes to building relationships with key members of the team as well as external stakeholders. You’ll be a natural when Information technology comes to digesting complex operational matters, recommunicating ideas back to the wider team and initiating strategic processes effectively to ensure the smooth running of the project at all times, from budgeting to management of tight timeframes. On a everyday basis you will be: » Running, checking and implementing regular safety measure checks to ensure the highest levels of safety at all stages of the project » Change Management, ensuring new technology is integrated into day to day BAU activities seamlessly » Ensuring all operational, regulatory and environmental criteria’s are met all over all stages of the key projects » Showing exceptional leadership abilities skills specifically through strong communication skills and an capability to get the wider team invested and onboard with business goals » Procuring and managing existing and new contractor relationships To be prosperous in your application, you will have: » A proven track record in providing operationally sound, safe environments. » capability to work across organisational boundaries to influence and persuade stakeholders » Passionate about motivating wider teams, and bringing different departments on the journey » Strong decision making » Proven industry practice within terminals/freight/cargo » Capable of communicating technical information clearly and effectively » Highly collaborative, ensuring that the business is guided by best practice and subject matter experts to enable commercial agility » High levels of resilience, drive and passion for change; open minded and committed to working within a 24/7 operation.
