   » Produce high quality strategic property plans from a various information sets
   » Support the development of new planning frameworks and be responsible for writing school property plans across a portfolio of schools

Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, manages the Crown’s second largest property portfolio of around 2,100 schools with a book value of $19.6 billion, the largest payroll in the country, and transportation of over 100,000 students to and from school each day.

About the function
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager – Asset Planning, you will be responsible for the delivery of School property plans.
Your key accountabilities will include the following:
   » Preparing Asset Management Plans by translating information into high quality written documents
   » Promote a strategic approach to asset management planning and review asset performance against agreed targets and service levels
   » Identify operational, maintenance and capital improvements and optimise life-cycle costs
   » Ensure asset planning considers education needs, technical requirements, strategic improvement initiatives, compliance requirements and impact of demand
   » Develop and apply decision making tools and models to prioritise investments
   » Establish and maintain collaborative and effective partnerships with Schools, Property Advisors and other key stakeholders to ensure asset management meets business objectives
   » Support alignment of capital investment programme management with Ministry asset management requirements
   » Ensure alignment with Te Rautaki Rawa Kura – The School Property Strategy 2030
About you
You will have a Tertiary qualification in an appropriate field and will also offer the following:
   » Proven asset management practice with organisations owning large and complex property portfolios, desirably but not confined to the public sector
   » Well-developed strategic and critical thinking expertise as well as the capability to analyse complex data and information
   » practice in the assessment of assets and a proven background producing high quality documents (Specifically, sound well-reasoned property plans that achieve required results)
   » Excellent writing and verbal communication expertise with a strong analytical focus and the capability to quickly establish trust and credibility
