IT Risk Advisor – Wellington
About the function:
Effective Information technology risk management is a key contributor to prosperous organisations and projects. We are seeking for a skilled, practiced, and trusted person to help us ensure the success of the IST group.
This is an exciting opportunity to join one of New Zealand's largest Information technology groups where you will work with talented individuals, be regularly challenged, and be innovative while enjoying an Agile environment with varied growth opportunities.
As Information technology Risk Advisor you will:
   » Collaborating with IST leaders, Technical Product Managers, and Technical Product Owners, provide expert risk and assurance research, analysis, support and advice in the areas of Information technology operational and project risk.
   » Provide risk reporting for the leadership abilities Team and Governance Committees.
   » Lead risk training and risk assessment workshops.
   » Maintain the Information technology risk register and Information technology Ministry-wide Risk information.
   » Build and nurture effective relationships with key stakeholders across the Ministry.
   » Drive innovation and continuous improvement in risk and compliance practices.
   » Promote and mature a smart Information technology risk culture, ensuring quality is built-in to all risk management activities and deliverables.
What you will bring:
   » significant tertiary qualification.
   » Solid knowledge of risk management frameworks and assurance programmes in large organisations.
   » Track record in managing relationships and consultation with an assortment of internal and external senior stakeholders.
   » practice in agile solution delivery environments.
   » Excellent facilitation, collaboration, and communication expertise.
   » practice with influencing and motivating teams.
   » Strong organisational expertise and the capability to balance multiple demands
   » Knowledge of strategic and business planning processes.
   » Technical knowledge of the AS/NZS ISO 31000 Standard: Risk Management – Principals & Guidelines.
