The Lodge is unique in it's style and we pride ourselves on providing genuine and friendly Kiwi hospitality along with amazing food. We live in an extraordinary natural landscape with a large lake, mountains, river valleys and walking trails on our back door step so if you love the outdoors, this position could be for you. We are a medium to large family run business catering for groups, weddings, cyclists on the Alps2Ocean cycle trail and tours over summer. We are the Ohau family and we treat every guest as if they were a guest in our own home. We choose positive and happy people who will work as a team and who will go that extra distance, offering that personal touch to make our guests feel welcome. We have cottage accommodation close by which is $90/week and deducted from your fortnightly wages. You will work mostly 5 days per week. We provide lunch for you on the days that you work otherwise you are expected to provide your own breakfast and lunch. For the Handyman position a particular skill or qualification is an advantage but not essential. Depending on your expertise, an example of the list of tasks are: general tidying around Lodge building and grounds, taking care of all the rubbish and recycling, maintaining spa pools, mowing lawns, splitting wood, driving to Twizel twice weekly for supply trips, assisting with housekeeping and delivering and picking up laundry, guest portering, pouring petrol. You do need to have a current driver's licence. We have a really happy team and would love to hear from you if this is a position you would be interested in.
