In this function, your skills will be central to our success, supporting the Government Chief Digital agent and the Strategy for a Digital Public Service. You'll collaborate across the public sector to improve processes and assurance to achieve our strategic goals. This will enable stakeholders to make informed decisions on complex and emerging issues while maintaining a clear focus on their desired strategic results. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will support system-wide digital and ICT assurance and risk management through guidance, capcapability development and engagement with key stakeholders. Your work will help lift assurance maturity to enable agencies to understand their obligations. As an Assurance Consultant, you will be able to help others positively adapt to changes and demands in a dynamic digital environment. You will be strongly supported in an environment that values continuous improvement and fosters a culture of encouraging ?big picture? thinking to help our people connect and build better results for New Zealand through a unified public service. What will you bring to the function? » You will bring an inclusive style to your work with the confidence to build strategic partnerships with agencies to deliver practical solutions to achieve common goals. » You will use your skills to navigate complex situations with ease and facilitate the provision of strategic and high-quality advice. » You'll have a keen capability to understand and assess levels of risk and develop and execute plans to mitigate risk, or escalate where needed. » You'll identify trends and emerging issues significant to industry practices and standards, and leverage those to build future capcapability across the sector. » As a skilled relationship manager, you'll provide influential and fit-for-purpose advice to stakeholders which support the strategic direction of assurance-related matters. » this function will be working, among other things, with payroll assurance so exposure to this topic would be valuable but is not required. » We are committed to increasing our cultural confidence as an organisation so proficiency in Te Reo M?ori would also be incredibly valuable.
