The Unitec Pathways College team are a high performing team, who have redefined our relationships with secondary schools and Kura Kaupapa M?ori, with strong and valued connections across the communities we serve.
We have a great opportunity for someone to join our Unitec Pathway College team as a Team Leader for Secondary Schools and Community. Supporting the Director Under – 25s Success, the function will work alongside the other members of the Unitec Pathways College (UPC) leadership abilities team ensuring staff deliver excellence in genuine tertiary transition and community engagement practices.

Te ?heinga: The opportunity
The Unitec Pathway College (UPC) is responsible for increasing and enhancing Unitec’s visibility and reputation to secure prospective students including secondary-aged students and their key influencers through schools/Kura and other avenues.
As our Team Leader – Secondary School and Community Engagement you’ll lead and support the Secondary School and Community Liaison Team in the implementation of operational activities and management of stakeholder relationships.
Our UPC team partners and participates in several exciting community events each year including Polyfest and Waitangi at Waititi. You’ll supervise and coordinate our presence at these important events.

Your practice
   » You are practiced in working with Under-25s, M?ori, Pacific, and other government priority groups
   » You are passionate about empowering young people to succeed in their chosen profession.
   » You’ll inspire, energise and engage.
   » You’re comfortable with teaching, training, and running group facilitation with secondary students.
   » You thrive on achieving targets and goals and understand the transition from Secondary Schools to Tertiary Education.
   » You have demonstrable practice in supporting Secondary school students, Community Liaison Teams and Kura Kaupapa M?ori.
It is important to us that you have an knowledge or desire to lgain Te Reo M?ori, Tikanga M?ori and the values and practices of Kaupapa M?ori and a demonstrated knowledge of, and, commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
