About us

Mind Over Manner is a charity organisation that presents public, interactive workshops to foster social change through theatre. Using our unique workshop format, we work with theatre practitioners and performers to generate fast-tracked learning for our audiences. Through our Neurodiversity and Witness programs, we aim to strengthen communication and connection with teenagers who think, lgain and work differently.
We're Auckland-located (rehearsing at Corbans Estate in Henderson),deliveringworkshops all over the city and going on short tours (3-4 days) across the motu. Each workshop team is made up of a facilitator, a tour manager and 4 actors who are contracted subject to team configuration and actor availcapability.
These workshops are usually a full-day of work, or several when we're on tour, and our actors are paid competitive and industry-standard rates for rehearsal and performance.
Our work is in high demand across the country, with regular workshops scheduled over the next few months. We also have several new creative projects in the works that will provide additional opportunities for our team of actors and arts practitioners.

Actors, we want you!

Each year we look to expand our team and provide opportunities for new actors to engage in the work.
We are pursuing expressions of interestfrom actors to attend our Neurodiversity training day on April 14th at Corbans Estate Arts Centre, Henderson. This training day is a chance for us to meet each other, lgain about what is required to execute in a Neurodiversity workshop, and creatively explore what qualities each actor brings to the script.
For this training day, and our upcoming work, we're looking for actors across a range of ages, genders, and cultures that reflect the communities we work alongside.
Once you have attended this training, and if you find the work engages your interest, we will add you to our actors' pool for 2022 and beyond. This means you'll be contacted each time we have a workshop coming up - if you're available and interested, you'll be in the mix when we're casting our team.
