We help shape the policies, settings and performance of the education system for early learning, schooling and tertiary. We do this by building relationships and knowledge the needs of those who receive our services. We are making significant changes to how we deliver our mahi by: » taking practical action to give effect to te Tiriti o Waitangi » giving priority to regional and local voice » delivering greater responsiveness, accessibility and integrated services and support » improving feedback loops and information flows. About our group Te Maha u – Te Tai Runga (South) is a frontline group. Our frontline groups will collectively provide leadership abilities and integrated services to the sector and others. This includes services, such as learning support and education advice and regulation functions for schools and early learning services. Mo tenei turanga – About this function Education Advisors take a lead function in the licensing and certification of early childhood education (ECE) services and early learning participation initiatives. This requires excellent relationship management expertise and an in-depth knowledge of the early learning education sector. The location of this function is to be located in our Cromwell office and be a member of our region’s Early Childhood Education team. The prosperous candidate will join a supportive and performance-driven team environment. Please note there is more information in the attached job description. Mohou ake – About you If you can evidence your practice across the following areas, we would like to hear from you: » Indepth practitioner knowledge of Early Childhood Education » An capability to develop strong working relationships » Some knowledge and knowledge of Te Reo Maori ona tikanga » practice working with Maori and Pacific ECE communities and/or services » Have practice in assessing information to make objective judgments against criteria and recommend courses of action » Have the capability to analyse complex issues and provide clear and succinct written and oral reports » Have practice in dealing with complex relationships, including influencing and negotiation expertise » The capability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi » A qualification in early learning is required » A current full driver’s licence is essential Kua rite koe mo tenei mahi? – Are you ready to make a difference?
