Over the last 12 months they have seen exponential business growth allowing them to review their model and drive more operations and control in-house. The function As a result of this change a new position has been developed for a National Ground operations Manager to manage the day to day logistics and project manage the growth in supply and distribution partners. With a huge focus on the customer this function is responsible for developing and implementing the post customs distribution strategy, growing the national distribution network, and managing the continuing fluidity and delivery from the depot to the customers door. Key Responsibilities in this position includes: » 4 direct reports (multiple indirect) » Manage and constantly improve transit times and efficiency » Project manage the upscaling and growth of the operation » Route management, development, and optimisation » Manage health and safety requirements » Stakeholder management About you You will be an practiced logistics/operations manager with strategic nous. You will have practice growing a business and developing their offering. You will have passion and spark, with the capability to implement a vision and build strong relationships with those around you. People management will be second nature to you, and how to motivate, inspire and get the most out of them by sharing your aspirations for the business. It is essential you are client centric, and believe they are at the heart of everything you do. You will have project management practice and can demonstrate prosperous results. Lastly Information technology is highly desirable to have strong commercial acumen with the capability to manage and interpret budgets along with other numerical and data driven information.
