About the function You will be leading a team of Youth Justice Coordinators, who are responsible for managing Family Group Conferences (FGCs) in conformity with the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989. You will be able to incorporate a mana enhancing and restorative approach within your practice and utilise the combined knowledge of community resources, networks, and opportunities. The work you do will contribute to create an alternative offending-free future for the tamaiti/rangatahi. The Team Leader is responsible for the effective management of a team of Youth Justice Coordinators and support staff to ensure the efficient delivery of case work that fulfils the service delivery responsibilities of Oranga Tamariki as agreed with the Minister. The Team Leader will also ensure that the services and resources are managed in conformity with the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989 and the State Sector Act 1988 and other significant legislation.
