Test Analyst Are you currently working for the Ministry of Social Development? We are pursuing an energetic, highly motivated, practiced Test Analyst who is interested to grow their test career and expertiseet by joining our team. About the function An overview of your responsibilities » Create test cases (manual and/or automated) using own in-depth technical analysis of both functional and non-functional specifications (such as relicapability, efficiency, uscapability, maintaincapability, and portcapability) » Specify requirements for environment, data, resources, and tools [new line] » Interpret, execute, and document complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards » Participate in estimation and planning activities » Participate in system demonstrations » Record and analyse actions and results, and maintain a defect register » Create tracecapability records, from test cases back to requirements » Review test results and modify tests if necessary » Provide progress updates/reports » Identify and report on anomalies, risks, dependencies and issues » Report on system quality and collect metrics on test cases » Provide specialist advice to support others » Collaborate with other test analysts » Take ownership of maintaining Regression Test scripts What you will bring to the function » You will be comfortable with Technical Testing – you will be expected to use SQL, SoapUI and XML when needed » Be a team player, who enjoys achieving results as part of a team effort and proactively contributes to the team's function and goals » practiced in Test Data Creation » practice in using Confluence, Jira and SBE (Specifications by Example) techniques » practice in Integration Testing is an advantage » practice in writing test scripts using Python/Java is an advantage » knowledge of and practice using Tosca and/or Playwright is an advantage » Having previously worked in a Scrum Team is an advantage Position Descriptionhttps://www.msd.govt.nz/hr/documents/position-descriptions/dce -people-and-capcapability/information-technology/test-analyst-senior-test-an alyst-mar21.docxTo support our people's professional development, we're implementing the SFIA capcapability framework.
