The Department of Internal Affairs is leading a significant large-scale transformation programme for how three waters services - drinking water, wastewater and stormwater - are delivered in New Zealand.
The Digital Content Specialist is the go-to for our digital channel practice, from best practice around digital platforms and content, through to knowledge how people use our channels.
this function is hands-on, including being responsible for the creation and/or reshaping of content for our digital channels to make Information technology easier for our audiences to understand and engage with us.
This is all new, so you'll be joining the team as we're standing up our new website, launching our social channels and rolling out our public information campaign.
You'll working alongside the team, our web design and public information campaign agencies to build greater consciousness of the Programme and the Government's approach to help New Zealanders engage with and participate in making the best decision for the communities they live and work in, both now and for future generations.
Along with a can-do attitude, you will:
   » have at least 5 years in digital content creation/graphic design/communications type functions
   » be comfortable using Silverstripe, the Adobe Creative Suite and Google Analytics and having video production and editing expertise is a bonus
   » be an practiced for-the-web writer
   » be knowledgeable of how content best works across different digital channels
   » be driven to create and deliver excellence.
This is a full-time fixed term function located in Wellington.
