Job Offer: Tutor/Senior Tutor – Mental Health and Addictions:MasseyUniJob description:Job DescriptionCollege of HealthPalmerston North We have an opportunity to appoint a vibrant and engaged colleague, Tutor/Senior Tutor to contribute to the newly created Mental Health and Addiction Major in Bachelor of Health Science within the School of Health Sciences, College of Health at Massey University. This is a teaching function, focused on engagement and delivery of addiction practitioner skills education to a range of undergraduate students. Coordination of student placements in Mental Health and Addiction is also a key component of the function, so strong networks within the sector will be advantageous. This is a three-year, fixed-term position which can be full-time or part-time depending on the candidates that apply. The position will start in January 2022 and can be located on our Manawat? (Palmerston North) campus. Working from the Wellington or Albany campus may be negotiated for the right candidate. Ideal candidates will have a postgraduate qualification in mental health and addiction, be a DAPAANZ registered practitioner, and have clinical supervision practice. Clinical practice in addiction settings focused on addiction screening, assessment, brief intervention delivery and case management is essential. Academic teaching practice is preferred, but not essential. Lived practice is a crucial component of mental health and addiction services and teaching. Candidates with self-identified lived practice are encouraged to apply. Our programmes are focused on building workforce capacity and cultural responsiveness. Candidates who whakapapa M?ori or Pacific are also encouraged to apply.
