Funded by Creative New Zealand and proudly delivered by Tautai, the Tautai Oceania Internship Programme aims to foster niu Pacific arts managers and leaders, support and strengthen our Pacific arts infrastructure and establish professional pathways for young emerging Pacific practitioners to further develop their arts management expertise. Applications are open from December to 01 March 2023 We have five full-time paid internships on offer, available to Aotearoa-located Pasifika arts practitioners, across all disciplines, with the long-term goal of equipping young Pasifika with the necessary tools to shift into leadership abilities functions. The internships will run for 20 weeks, with placements to be completed between May - December 2023, running under all levels of the Covid Protection Framework. As an additional support to the selected interns, the programme will operate on a Tuakana Teina model. External Pasifika tuakana (mentors) will care for our teina (interns) during their tenures - supporting them all over the duration of their internship journey while strengthening their connections to the wider Pacific arts sector. We are seeking for candidates that are dedicated and ambitious who wish to expand upon their current practice in arts administration and management. candidates will either have a tertiary qualification and/or equivalent of a minimum three years continuous practice working within the arts. Tautai will work with the selected interns to align placements with appropriate host organisations all over Aotearoa New Zealand.
