An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and skilled Analyst to join our Planning team. The Analyst function delivers robust monitoring and assessment of demand pressures affecting schools in the Auckland region, T?maki Makaurau.
This is an exciting time for the Network Planning team. We are implementing an Auckland Education Growth Plan that will influence the shape of education in Auckland over the next ten years and beyond.
This position would suit a self motivated individual who enjoys digging into facts and figures, analysing trends and identifying options. You will need to collaborate with colleagues to understand factors affecting growth of school rolls.
Full training will be given, but a background in statistics, mapping and analysis would be a good starting point.If you are looking to extend your analytical expertise in the education sphere then we would love to hear from you.
The prosperous applicant will join a small dynamic team focused on planning for the future of education in Auckland.
To be prosperous in this function you will need to be great at:
   » delivering timely and accurate analysis with a high degree of speed and accuracy
   » interpreting detailed data
   » knowledge and explaining complex concepts
   » communicating with colleagues from other disciplines to agree solutions
   » presenting detailed analysis to school Principals and Boards
   » identifying trends and issues and making recommendations to inform decision making.
We are seeking for a person who ideally will have:
   » advanced Excel
   » GIS mapping expertise
   » excellent report writing capcapability
   » prior knowledge and practice of data analysis
   » anknowledge of the New Zealand education system.
