The Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) is seeking an innovative and highly practiced engagement professional to lead work to influence change and drive action across the system to improve results for children and young people in Aotearoa New Zealand. Having established the child wellbeing and poverty reduction strategy and legislative framework, we must now embed them, support the system to focus on the things most likely to make a positive difference for children and young people, and influence change and drive across the system.
Reporting to the Director, you will:
   » Lead planning and work to drive the implementation of the Child and Youth Wellbeing Strategy (including poverty reduction), developing a sense of joint ownership of the Strategy with communities, iwi and M?ori, NGOs, and government agencies.
   » Connect and collaborate to build effective partnerships and community approaches that achieve better results for children and young people in Aotearoa New Zealand
   » Facilitate the involvement of iwi and M?ori partners in the development and delivery of the Strategy to meet the needs of tamariki, rangatahi, and their wh?nau.
Our ideal candidate will bring:
   » Demonstrated practice in developing and implementing innovative, stakeholder engagement strategies, plans, and advice within a large and complex environment, preferably in the social sector
   » practice in working with Iwi, hap?, wh?nau, M?ori organisations and M?ori communities
   » broad practice working in partnership with key stakeholders and across organisational boundaries to deliver shared results and achieve results
   » Proven capability to make a strong contribution in thought leadership abilities and innovative thinking to create positive impact
   » Demonstrated capability to execute with resilience, quickly adjusting and adapting to changing or ambiguous conditions
