Playing a key function in supporting the Government Chief Digital agent and the strategy for the Digital Public Service, We are seeking for talent who can work collaboratively to leverage our people and technology, to improve and drive for a unified digital public service for all New Zealanders. About the function: In this pivotal function you will take the lead to provide strategic high-quality advice, guidance and insights to determine how investments are prioritised for improved commercial results. The focus is on ensuring strategic level rigour to drive financial efficiency and effectiveness around investment decisions. Taking a collaborative approach, you will quickly foster credibility and engagement across agencies and our key stakeholders for strategic alignment of our investments while ensuring resource allocation adheres to governance and compliance obligations. You will develop strategies that deliver value and provide recommendations that result in robust digital results in this challenging fiscal environment. The scope of the function includes; » Help scope and lead discussions to understand the financial impacts of potential investments. » Be expertiseable in a wide variety of digital, data and technology matters, especially as they relate to emerging trends and systemwide investment. » Possess a flexible attitude, be able to deal with ambiguity, while providing robust solutions for consideration and review. » Demonstrated capability to work at pace and to deliver smart solutions to complex problems while providing credible and pragmatic advice. » Confidence to apply your expertise and expertise across a breadth of inter-agency work programmes & disciplines. » Senior practice in identifying and leading a programme of business improvement. » Strong analytical capability to interpret and understand business controls and long-term impacts. To succeed you will be commercially and financially astute, a motivated self-starter who thrives in an agile environment while being comfortable to challenge the status quo.
