Our Project Manager will be responsible for senior project management skills to support the national bowel screening programme change that incorporates significant business and technical work programmes, provide leadership abilities working with the business and ICT changes to provide project management life cycle capcapability. Information technology is important that you have an knowledge and consciousness of the Treaty of Waitangi and understand the function of the Ministry and health sector in reducing health disparities and improving health results for M?ori.
To be prosperous, you will have proven project management practice, exceptional relationship skills to build and maintain effective professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You will have a ‘can-do’ attitude to really make a difference in supporting the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders. This is an exciting opportunity to work at a national level to improve the health of Aotearoa New Zealand.
The income range for this function is $86,197 to $114,929 and will be appointed in alignment with skills and practice.
You will be someone who has the following:
   » significant professional project management qualfication and or significant project management practice
   » PRINCE2 qualified or highly confident in the methodology
   » Knowledge and application of, appropriate project management frameworks, and an capability to promote and provide advice on the use of appropriate techniques, methodologies and tools
   » knowledge of a variety of project processes and methods
   » practice designing / driving / delivery of project planning to ensure delivery of work on time, and within budget
   » Strong written skills and an capability to take complex information and synthesise into key messages for significant audiences
   » capability to work in complex environments and with a wide variety of diverse stakeholders that are internal and external to the Ministry
   » An knowledge of and commitment to the principles of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi and delivering services effectively for Maori

The National Bowel Screening Programme team are passionate about improving equitable results and reducing cancer diagnosis and mortality in Aotearoa New Zealand. The NBSP team are responsible for the planning, delivery and oversight of the National Bowel Screening Programme as part of the National Screening Unit.
Proof of vaccination is a requirement for this function.
The Ministry of Health/Manat? Hauora is the kaitiaki of the health and discapability system in Aotearoa New Zealand.
