This is a long standing and well-established developer organization that have been delivering significant and complex integrated residential projects across the greater Auckland isthmus. They are very reliable; have a record of long staff tenure and they employ sharp minds from various construction and property disciplines to work together to drive results.
Due to growth, they now require an Intermediate level QS that can support civil projects  

Your key responsibilities include:

 
·         Master spreadsheet of all rates for current projects.
·         Written summary of findings of cost analysis/comparison.
·         Cost estimation tool.
·         Data base management, Rates, bill descriptions.
·         Project costs estimation.
·         Cost analysis.
·         Project cash flow reports.
·         Review monthly claims.
·         Prepare contractor payment certificates.
·         Develop outline project programs in conjunction with the Construction Manager.
·         Providing real time cost information to the Development Managers.
 
Your background and key skill set encompasses:
   » capability to review and interpret contract requirements from civil plans to prepare estimates accurately and effectively.
   » Assessing payment claims and variations.
   » Establishing rates from first principles.
   » Monthly cost reporting and accurate cost forecasting.
   » Strong digital acumen, MS suite, appropriate estimating software.
   » A significant tertiary qualification.
   » Proven practice working 3-5 years in a similar function in the New Zealand construction sector.
   » Great team player, capability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
·         Detail orientated with high accuracy & organizational expertise.
   » Preparation of schedules.
   » Compiling Contract Agreements.
   » Risk management and problem-solving.
·         Sound knowledge of New Zealand construction techniques and processes.
   » Be a solid operator, with proven practice in a similar function is preferred.
   » capability to work autonomously and collaboratively to achieve financial results for the company.
   » Solid knowledge of NZS3910:2013, Conditions of Contract.
