Offer: Home Help/au Pair:Job description:Home Help/au PairPayment: Accommodation & Paid (21.20)Job location: Kilbirnie Region: Wellington practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 05/11/2022 Employer : Laurian Godwin We are seeking for a friendly couple (or single person) to help us with domestic tasks, as well as a bit of after-school care for our delightful 9 year old. We are a family of 3 (plus a little dog), so it's a pretty easy situation! The domestic help is general housekeeping and a bit of gardening along with occasional input into food prep for dinner. The after-school stuff includes hanging out with Abigail in the afternoons, supervising homework and ensuring there is also time for fun. Information technology may include driving Abigail to and from after-school activities now and again so a full driver's licence is preferred. Abigail is lots of fun. She is creative, has a great sense of humour, a super imagination, loves baking, the outdoors, the trampoline... you name it, she will usually enjoy it! :-) She is used to having an Au Pair, and has created many firm friendships; most stay in regular contact with us. Laurian and Darryl are both in business; Silk Clothing for Laurian and Finance for Darryl. As self-employed people we are always busy, which is why we greatly appreciate having help with the tasks that keep a home running smoothly. Our dog, Bobbie, is a gentle and easy dog, but she loves attention so you must be ok with dogs :-) We're looking for someone/s who can join us anytime from now and stay until mid December. In exchange we provide a very spacious, fully furnished double room in your own separate flat (on the ground floor of our double-storey house), plus free WiFi and satellite TV. Previous Helpers/Au Pairs have fitted Information technology around study, or worked part time, and if you are in a couple often one does the au pair function while the other has a job outside the home. The room is a lovely, light-filled double room; all our helpers find Information technology very comfortable. The 2-bedroom flat is shared with an easy-going and friendly kiwi guy in his late 20's. We all share our sun-filled lawn and garden. From now until mid-December the hours are 4 hours per day Mon-Friday, so the remuneration for this time is accommodation-only. If you want to stay for the summer and become a full-time Au pair once school finishes the position includes wages in addition to the accommodation. Kilbirnie has a vibrant shopping centre just a few minutes walk from our house. We are close to the Beach, the Aquatic Centre, Mt Victoria walkways and only a 15 minute bus ride into Wellington centre. Skills:
