Join us – an organisation that grew out of bold thinking and has an enduring commitment to care for others at work, home and playAs the Product Owner for MyACC for Business, you’ll articulate the vision of what must be built, define the prioritised features, collaborate with our digital designers to create excellent user practices, work with a business analyst to create actionable user stories and drive execution of these with the delivery team. A key component of this function within the Digital team at ACC will be strong partnerships you can build, or may already have, with key stakeholders including Business Partnerships, Digital Design, Product Management, Technology and Transformation, and of course our customer – New Zealand’s 535,000 businesses. MyACC for Business enables businesses to easily access their documents, payments, and reports – where and when they want to; ultimately helping them protect and insure their most important assets – their people. A day in the life of the MyACC for Business Product Owner is varied and fast paced. Each day will be different; a typical day might include prioritising the delivery team’s work, reviewing designs and user stories to ensure they meet the needs of our users, reporting on progress of delivery and success of the product, showcases and presentations, answering questions and feedback from customers and front line, and giving updates to senior management. You’ll be ACC’s biggest advocate for MyACC for Business and will help others across the organisation understand the value that Information technology brings to our customers. What We are seeking for from you to be prosperous in the function: » A great communicator – you’ll be communicating across many levels of the organisation so will need to recognise and meet the needs of your audience » Able to think on your feet and trust your gut – you’ll need to be able to recognise when to trust your gut and make a fast decision, and when to bring in other people with the required skills to help you make the right call » practice within an Agile environment and Product Ownership, or a availability to lgain – knowledge in Lean UX, Dev Ops and User Centred Design practices are beneficial. » Strong leadership abilities attributes – you’ll be able to bring together a diverse group of individuals to form a highly functioning delivery team » Adaptable and able to pivot – if things don’t quite go to plan, or if the plan changes you’ll need to be flexible and able to redirect efforts as required » A strategic priority for ACC is to enable equitable access, results and practice for M?ori – Information technology would be advantageous to have an knowledge of Te Ao Maori and application of this in designing and delivering digital services » A positive high energy attitude – being a Product Owner can be a compensateing but high-pressure job at times, and we want someone who is able to get Information technology done with a sense of good humour The MyACC for Business team is a high functioning and mature delivery team made up of developers, testers, designers, and analysts – and we’re looking for someone who can keep up the momentum we’ve built to date.
