We are looking for a farm hand to assist in the rearing and care of pullets at Otaki and Himatangi farm sites. Full training will be provided on the job, however some previous experience would be beneficial. Hours of work: Between 7am - 4pm, Monday - Friday (37.5 hrs/week guaranteed) Occasional early morning starts at 3am, when catching birds is required (1-2 times per month). Payrate: $23.00/hr When travel between farms is required, this will be paid at a rate of 79c per Km. Role Expectations: » Catching and inspecting birds for health checks » Sanitation - water blasting catching crates and sheds » Administering vaccinations to birds (once training is complete) » This is a temporary role that will lead to a permanent position for the right candidate with a good work ethic To be successful: » Must be able to commit to an ongoing role » Physically fit and comfortable with nature of role » Comfortable passing a pre-employment drug screen » Must have own reliable transport to travel between farms as needed If you are interested in this role, or know someone who is, please APPLY NOW and we will be in touch ASAP.
