We are seeking for a highly organized, multi-tasker who is self-motivated with administration skills who will take initiative in this dynamic environment. Reporting to the Manager, Art, We are pursuing a professional with a background in Art to work alongside our team providing quality valuations for our clients and prestigious institutions.The capability to write critically on artworks is an advantage. The capability to communicate confidently to discuss New Zealand art practice would also be beneficial. A professional attitude with the capability to meet deadlines and to prioritise work is key. The function includes the preparation of written proposals for potential vendors, cataloguing artworks and a proven capability to produce exceptional written material with strong attention to detail. candidates must have a comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand and international fine art. Essential Criteria » Arts background along with a minimum qualification of a bachelor's degree » An knowledge of New Zealand art history and current practice. » capability to write and critically on New Zealand art. » Knowledge of Photoshop and InDesign. » capability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbal and written » Highly organised and able to work under pressure » Exceptional personal presentation Due to the nature of our business, this function may require some weekend work therefore flexibility is required.
