The Fulbright programme of international educational exchange was an initiative of American Senator J. William Fulbright from Arkansas, who in the aftermath of World War II believed that mutual knowledge between different countries and cultures was crucial to ensure a peaceful future for the world. Fulbright New Zealand is currently seeking an exceptional individual for the function of Scholarships Programme Manager to supervise the management of several core Fulbright NZ and US scholarships. You will be working within a small team alongside a second Scholarships Programme Manager organising, administering and superviseing the smooth running of several core Fulbright scholarships. To be prosperous in this function youwill have: » proven scholarship programme or project management practice » outstanding expertise in relationship management » excellent administration and record management expertise » practice in educational marketing and student recruitment » capability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with key Fulbright NZ partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders » an knowledge of the education sector in NZ and the US » a significant tertiary qualification The function of Scholarship Programme Manager is essential to recruiting and fostering the best and brightest thought leaders to become Fulbright New Zealand grantees. The prosperous candidate will need high levels of initiative, foresight, and exceptional time management expertise. You will enjoy working within a small and hardworking team but will also be comfortable working independently at times. You will be comfortable talking in front of groups as part of Fulbright's Outreach and Midyear Programmes, and you will have a good knowledge of tertiary education systems and timeframes in New Zealand and the US.
