Mahi Tiaki I Te Hapori (Centre for Health and Social Practice) is seeking a highly motivated Head of Nursing to join the Centre’s inter-professional management team, located in Hamilton.If you value working collaboratively with other health professional educators in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment, delivering nursing education for local, regional and international benefit, this is an opportunity not to be missed! About the function In this function you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day academic activities of the nursing team (Postgraduate or Undergraduate), and ensuring all resources are in place for a quality learning environment. You will guide and support staff to achieve agreed teaching, research and industry engagement results and to grow professionally. You will lead a team of nurse educators responsible for teaching bicultural programmes either Undergraduate or Postgraduate informed by an excellent knowledge of Treaty-located practice. Maintaining productive working relationships within the nursing programmes and across Wintec will also be important. Similarly, maintaining current industry connections and fostering new ones is key. Not only will you keep abreast of the latest information and technology, you will create valuable opportunities for students and manage the delivery and development of programmes for flexible delivery locally and internationally. You will be a strategic thinker who has a vision for the future of nursing. Are you an ideal candidate?
