Join our amazing Hauora M?ori team – provide quality administrative support to the team that is aligned to M?ori health needs. To address and improve equitable health results for our M?ori community.
M? te t?nga – About the function
This exciting opportunity is an administrative function that brings to life the Canterbury District Health Boards commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its principles by ensuring our partnership with M?ori are at the forefront of all our conversations.
You will also be responsible for the management of Te Whare Mahana. Te Whare Mahana is an accommodation facility for wh?nau who are supporting a wh?nau member using the Christchurch Hospital services.
In this function you will provide administrative support to the Kaiwhakahaere Hauora M?ori (M?ori Health Team Leader) and the Kaiwhakahaere Allied Health (Administrative Team Leader) on the Christchurch Hospital Campus. expertise or wiliness to learnTe reo M?ori me ng? Tikanga is a requirement of this position. Whakawhanaungatanga is a value that you will bring to this position.
This is a permanent part-time 34 hours per week position working Monday – Friday.

Our ideal candidate will bring as follows:
   » Demonstrate skill and expertise in Te Ao M?ori
   » Excellent communication both written and orally in English and expertise of Te reo me ?na tikanga
   » expertise of and commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and biculturalism
   » Lived practice in Te Ao M?ori, M?ori community environments
   » Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
   » Typing and data entry skills
   » Attention to detail and accuracy
   » Microster practice would be advantageous but we will provide training
