The PSA Te P?kenga Here Tikanga Mahi is the largest union in New Zealand, Aotearoa and is an innovative and dynamic organisation employing 180 staff all over New Zealand. The PSA has vacancies for two, full-time, permanent Campaigns and Communications Advisors to join our communications team.
The two primary functions of the Campaigns and Communications Team are:
   » To ensure that PSA communications are timely, accurate, authoritative and interesting, and provide inclusive and diverse perspectives that uphold PSA values and Ng? Kaupapa
   » To develop coordinate and support campaigning work that links the PSA’s political and industrial agendas to campaign on key strategic priorities.
Our Campaigns and Communications Advisors work closely with assigned PSA sectors and networks.
The Campaign and Communications Advisors will serve as sectors and networks' go-to person for communications, campaigning, media and strategic advice. This includes:
   » Driving campaigns and communications planning for that sector, developing key engagement strategies strategic narratives and messages
   » Developing proactive media coverage for that sector in consultation with the Media Advisor.
   » Providing the full suite of basic modern communications tools – campaign planning, digital and email campaigning, message development, writing, media, editing, taking photos and video on phone at events and rallies
   » Becoming a resource to help promote good campaigns and communications planning and practice within the sector.
The Campaigns and Communications Advisors will work with one another and the wider Campaigns and Communications Team to support each other, provide cover and expert advice (and to seek specialist advice from others when needed).
The PSA Te P?kenga Here Tikanga Mahi is committed to honouring Te Tiriti O Waitangi across our organisation and the work we do. expertise of te reo and tikanga M?ori will therefore be an advantage.
The income range for each position is$71,589 to $101,671. New employees enter the range on a starting rate located upon previous significant practice and commensurate with internal relativities. Progression to the top of the scale is by regular and automatic service steps.
