Toi Rauwh?rangi is Massey University's College of Creative Arts, located in Wellington, New Zealand. We offer internationally acclaimed degrees in Design, M?ori Visual Arts, Fine Arts, Commercial Music and Creative Media Production.
The reputation of the College as one of the best art and design schools in Australasia is due in no small part to the high-quality research staff who are actively engaged in world-class creative practice, scholarly enquiry and consultancy work. In 2021, the College was ranked in the Top 100 QS World university subject rankings for Art and Design for the fifth year in a row, and the 2018 New Zealand government Performance-located Research Fund evaluation found the College had the largest number of internationally ranked researchers in design and visual arts in New Zealand.
We have a vacancy for Senior Research Advisor (Creative Arts) to come on board and provide strategic advice to the College and assist the Research Director in enhancing research culture and achieving future research ambitions.
This is a three-year fixed-term, full-time position, commencing 24 January 2022, going through to 13 December 2024.
Please note, for the right applicant, we are open to discussing part-time hours.
Specifically, you will do the following:
   » Support the Director Research in developing and delivering strategic initiatives to ensure a vibrant and sustainable research culture
   » Provide high-quality advice, support, and direction to staff applying for external competitive research funding, awards, fellowships, prizes internal and external to the University

Our ideal applicant should have the following:
   » practice with working in creative arts / research funding environment
   » An knowledge of the New Zealand creative arts funding ecology
   » Proven aptitude and practice in researcher development
   » An knowledge of research and the research environment, especially researcher career trajectories within tertiary education
   » capability to manage multiple projects/initiatives at the same time
   » An knowledge of the University research regulatory, academic, financial, and strategic context
   » A significant bachelor's degree and ideally a post-graduate research qualification
