They are the largest waste-to-energy provider and have the largest commercial electric fleet in New Zealand. A great opportunity for an experienced Compliance Coordinator to join their friendly and supportive team in Wellington. As Health & Safety of our client's staff are their top priority, they have introduced a policy requiring all staff and visitors to site be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 within their offices. THE ROLE In this position you will: - » Investigating and documenting hazards, incidents or unsafe acts and the co-ordination of investigations, observations, and inspections » Maintaining current and effective records » Developing, reviewing, and maintaining SOPs, work instructions and arranging training for staff collecting, analysing and reporting on all statistics relating to HSEQ. » Acting as the first point of contact for the site and operational managers with the HSEQ department. » Coordinating & Presenting Toolbox talks » Developing and coordinating site HSEQ plans SKILLS & EXPERIENCE To be successful for this position you must be able to: - » Working knowledge of HSEQ legislation and regulations. » Previous experience of HSEQ management systems and their maintenance. » Understanding of industrial and resource work environments. » Experience in investigations management. » Excellent communication skills both oral and written. » Excellent presentation/ training skills. » Ability to analyse and problem solve at a high level. » Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. » Excellent time management and organisational skills. » Driving licenses as required to meet site and job requirements. » OHS Diploma or equivalent practical experience. » Cert 4 Training and Workplace Assessment or equivalent experience. » Level 2 First Aid.
