The Ministry’s Policy Implementation and Delivery (PID) business group was established to provide the bridge between national policy and regional/local implementation. Within PID, our Systems Change & Capcapability function is focused on ensuring that work underway to implement our environmental policy and regulatory activity draws on and uses a multi-disciplinary approach located on behaviour change, systems thinking, design thinking, team dynamics and m?tauranga M?ori - all grounded in systems-located thinking.
M? te t?ranga mahi | About the function
We’re looking for an established senior practitioner with a genuinelove of service design and design thinking. In this function youwill have a core focus onworking with the Resource Management Reform teams.
We want to support the design and development of the new system with a design-lens, bringing thinking and practices from design thinking, behavioural psychology, cognitive psychology, communications, and systems approaches to reconsider what a new approach to guidance might deliver. this function will be one of the members in our Design Practice, working closely with the RM programme, and colleagues in the Systems Change & Capcapability team.
Underpinning all aspects of delivery will be a strong focus on results, relationships, and user-centric practices, including to supportthe designing of and incorporating te ao M?ori practices, philosophy and approaches into our service design and design thinking.

Our ideal candidate will have:
   » Solid consciousness of and knowledge of te Tiriti o Waitangi and a availability to develop your knowledge of te ao M?ori;
   » Practical practice using a broad range of service design methods and approaches, particularly in service design and development, workshop facilitation and co-design;
   » Demonstrable practice in applying behavioural/social psychology to the development of a range of communications materials and artefacts used by a diverse range of stakeholders;
   » Excellent writing and attention to detail;
   » Strong levels of self-organisation, and a track record of managing all execution details across projects without dropping the ball. You can jump easily from intent to detail and back again; and
   » The capability to work independently, use initiative and demonstrate thought leadership abilities.
Wh?nuitanga Utu ?-Tau | income range
income range for this function is $105,802 to $128,424 pa. Appointment within this range will be located on skills and practice.
