Te?Herenga Waka – Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting a Lecturer in Educational Psychology with a specialisation and significant academic qualifications in Educational Neuroscience, or Neuroscience, or Neuropsychology.
The functions connected with this position include teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Educational Neuroscience or Neuroscience or Neuropsychology, seeking external research funding, undertaking research, recruiting and supervision of Masters and PhD students in Educational Neuroscience,or Neuroscience or Neuropsychology,and providing service to the University, Faculty, School, and profession.

You will be a motivated individual who can take the initiative in developing a teaching and research programme in the areas of Educational Neuroscience or Neuroscience or Neuropsychology.
Key Requirements:
   » Strong commitment to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi
   » PhD in Educational Neuroscience or Neuroscience or Neuropsychology
   » Potential to undertake research and scholarly publication in the areas of Educational Neuroscience or Neuroscience or Neuropsychology
   » capability to develop and implement academically rigorous courses in the areas of Educational Neuroscience or Neuroscience or Neuropsychology at both the undergraduate and postgraduate level
   » capability to build strong and positive working relationships with colleagues across the School of Education, Faculty of Education and the wider University and community
   » capability to work collaboratively and supportively within bicultural New Zealand
Why you should join our team
We have an academically strong and cohesive team of Educational Psychologists and growing student enrolments. Major areas of research within the team include early intervention, autism spectrum disorder, bullying avoidance, applied behaviour analysis, attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, cognitive education, learning and motivation, and school-located mental health services. The Faculty will be developing a new Educational Psychology Clinic that will provide opportunities for collaboration, mentoring, and research. The new Lecturer in Educational Psychology or Educational Neuroscience or Neuropsychology will join this supportive team and will be given the support necessary to be prosperous in enhancing the scope of our offerings for undergraduate and postgraduate students.
