Business Development Manager
• Auckland located - NZ wide territory; self starter with strong BD skills
• Start up small business inside a wider established house hold name
• Exciting new 3D product; ground breaking technology; generous package

If selling in an autonomous space that allows you to approach the market as you see best appeals to you, and you have proven practice at a senior business development level, this could be an exciting next step for you.
this function is a small start up, within a larger very well established NZ/Australia brand. You have big backing, but a small team feel and a whole lot of autonomy. This position requires a highly motivated and self sufficient self starter, to kick off the integration of an exciting new 3D print technology into the NZ market.
The key to the success of this new initiative comes down to finding the right person to fit into the team, in this extremely key function. With all the technological support and intelligence engaged and ready to go, and a team that strive to be best in business, it’s now time to engage the Business Development Manager with the practice and passion to drive the sales growth in the NZ market. You don’t need to know the 3D market, but you do need to have a strong interest in new technology and a passion selling market leading equipment into a variety of industry verticals.
Your territory is NZ wide, with the expectation that most of your business will at least initially, be generated from and Auckland base. You will be provided all tools the trade, and a car allowance of $14k annually. The key to your success will be your sales acumen, and capability to work off your own steam and drive. This position is for a sales professional who has a thorough knowledge of the full sale cycle, and sales into the corporate sector.
Your function will include:
• Writing compelling proposals and articulate a return on investment to your customers.
• Supporting trade shows, tours, and events.
• Providing technical guidance in the sales process.
• Maintaining broad market and competitor knowledge to ensure credibility with customers.
• Training and maintain skills on 3D Printing at all levels - prototyping, manufacturing, new applications, maintenance, typical budgets of the CIO's, typical objectives, measures, metrics.
• Having a collaborative approach and a team player
• Demonstrating/Articulating proposed territory coverage plan and strategies
• Achieving Revenue targets versus plan
• Developing your own pipeline
• Working with Marketing on lead generation programs
Essential requirements for this function:
• Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills.
• Be prepared to lgain and have a vast practice within different account bases.
• Know how to develop complex accounts for long term success
• Have a been in a sales function for 5 years
• Have a history of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
• High degree of business acumen with the capability to understand and work with financial tools
• Be a proven self-starter that can succeed with minimal supervision
• Personal enthusiasm and drive coupled with a strong sense of teamwork
• capability to exhibit an knowledge of 3D print applications and customer needs once you have had a chance to lgain the technology
