Research MidwifeJob location:Auckland Auckland Central Work Type: Contract » » » »income- $56 per hour »Enjoy a supportive and collaborative team environment »Fixed term contract- 3-6 months- choose between 0.5FTE/0.8FTE The function: Screening activities: » Work in collaboration with all team members for the maternal RSV trials to identify potential participants » Actively promote and educate community practice nurse, doctors clinic and community midwives and LMCs on the maternal RSV trials. » Work in community with practice nurse, doctors clinic and community midwives and LMC to identify and recruit potential participants » Utilize communication tools to assist midwife engagement with the maternal trials. » From direct referrals, discuss trial participation with the potential participant » Send the participant informed consent to potential participants. Trial activities: » Co-ordinate medical appointments and RM appointment for each protocol defined visit, and capturing this information in clinical conductor. Work with the participant to coordinate trial visits at a location most convenient to the participant. » Ensure the participant is fully informed about the trial and provides on-going update and education about the maternal trial visit. » Perform all procedures for the defined maternal trials visits- screening to six week post-delivery-refer protocol » Collect infant blood (heel pricks) and coordinates processing/shipment at protocol specific time points- refer protocol You » Registered Midwife » Committed and interested in research work » A strong sense of integrity, resilience and in depth problem solving » Great interpersonal expertise and a positive attitude To be considered for this great opportunity, please send an updated resume immediately to Dee – dee@kinetic.co.nz or call at 0226579248 to have a confidential chat about the function.
