Offer: Pathway Teacher:UniofOtagoJob description:Job DescriptionUNIVERSITY of OTAGO PATHWAYS – TE HUARAHIAbout our team – M? te t?ma The University of Otago Pathway provides academic expertise and an entry qualification to enable admission to a New Zealand university for domestic and international students. We are currently offering the Foundation Studies Certificate and are in the process of introducing two new NZQF Level 5 diplomas: a Diploma in Commerce and a Diploma in Arts. We are also involved in several exciting overseas initiatives. We are currently teaching our programme to students from a Thai university (RMUTT) and are also planning collaborating for delivery into China and Vietnam. The function – Te mahi As a Teacher – Pathway, you will: » Teach University of Otago Pathway students to the professional standard required by classroom teachers as defined by the New Zealand Teachers Council. » Demonstrate commitment to promoting the well-being of all learners. » Deliver appropriate learning. » Promote a collaborative, inclusive and supportive learning environment. » Respond effectively to the diverse language and cultural practices, and the varied strengths, interests and needs of individuals and groups of learners. expertise and practice – K? p?keka me k? wheako » Teaching Qualification. » Prior teaching practice. » practice preparing class work and delivering lessons. » practice working with international students is preferred. » Commitment to fostering collaborative teaching relationships with M?ori and/or Pasifika communities, and demonstrated multi-cultural competence in teaching.
