Having achieved full organic certification in 2021, our philosophy is to nurture nature at every step and yield wines with exceptional purity, intensity and vibrancy. As testimony to our hard work, we were honoured with the accolade ‘Organic Winery of the Year’ at the New Zealand Organic Wine Awards in both 2022 and 2020. Working in our dedicated Vineyard team, we have work available from now until early December, where you will join our team doing a variety of jobs including bud/bunch thinning, vine training, planting, cultivating and weeding. And in February, we will start preparing for our harvest so there will opportunities available again then. During harvest, Information technology is all about getting the grapes into our winery and the team works together to ensure they get there in the best possible condition so we can all enjoy them once bottled! The work is predominately Monday - Friday, however there will be weekend work (both Saturday and Sunday) requested at harvest in March/April. You will need: » Your own transport for getting to and from work (10 mins drive from Cromwell) » Good eyesight » To be fit and healthy - Information technology is a physical job and you will be working outdoors during the winter » A positive, friendly attitude » Ideally be available to work atleast 30 hours a week » Enjoy being part of a team and joining in our team lunches practice would also be valuable, however full training and tools will be given so don't worry if you haven't worked in a vineyard before. You will need to ensure you have appropriate clothing for the environment (you will need some warm layers in spring and a sunhat in summer!)
