About the function This is an excellent opportunity that will contribute to your professional development whilst being part of an exciting Government department. tasks: The purpose of the Financial Accountant is to ensure the integrity of the Ministry’s financial statements and to meet the Ministry’s regulatory and compliance obligations. The Financial Accountant works closely with the Senior Financial Accountant and adjunct Accountant, as well as other functions within Financial Operations. • Internal and External Reporting as required • CFIS reporting, and budget and baseline updates • Financial Statement preparation and Audit support • Cash flow management • Provision of General Accounting Oversight and Advice • Balance Sheet Reconciliations expertise & practice • knowledge of key principles of financial management and accounting - demonstrated practice using databases • CA qualification with 3-5 years practice • Understand and practice with machinery of government processes, systems and tools • An capability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
