If so, read on.This is a great opportunity to lead a team of system administrators and database administrators, supporting critical applications and the Ministry’s function across the education sector. The Applications Support Services team sits within our Operations and Infrastructure division providing technical support for business and corporate applications and specialist database advice. This also incorporates assessing the support needs for new business applications and the monitoring of the applications infrastructure. You will be/have the following: » Be a team player with excellent interpersonal expertise and the capability to communicate effectively at both a business and technical level. Providing feedback, delegating tasks and setting deadlines. As well as superviseing and managing day-to-day team operations » Possess a range of expertise and expertise including database and/or systems administration with applications focus » Have worked in an environment maintaining and supporting mission critical systems ensuring the applications continue to operate effectively. This will include practical practice supporting business applications with a strong expertise of Windows 2012/2016/2019, SQL Server, IIS, and Linux operating systems » Working with BAU and Project environments, you will have the capability to communicate effectively at both a business and technical level » Be service orientated in your thinking Our key projects are incorporating Microsoft, Linux, VMWare, IBM and Cloud technologies – if you have the core expertise we can up-skill you in these.
