Farm adjunct:Job description:Farm adjunctPayment: Accommodation & Paid ($21-24)Job location: Duntroon Region: Otago/Queenstown/Wanaka practice: No practice Necessary Listing Added: 11/01/2022 We are seeking for a Dairy adjunct to complete our amazing team. To start any time from the end of January. We are located 25 minutes inland from Oamaru at Duntroon. Close to river/lakes so ideal for hunting and fishing enthusiasts and only 2 hours from beautiful Central Otago. We contract milk 1600 cows on a 474ha irrigated dairy platform with a well set up dairy support unit adjacent to the dairy platform. We run two sheds, a 60 bail rotary with in shed feeding, cup removers, pro track, and easy heat camera and a 40 a side herringbone with in shed feeding. Roster is 6 on 2 off all season. The farm is flat with some rolling. Irrigation is pivot and k-lines with fixed grid on steeper sections. Accomodation - shared 3 bedroom house. Currently will have one other DA living in it. The ideal candidate must be in New Zealand, have a current work visa, a strong work ethic, availability to lgain and a passion for farming. Some practice is preferred but not essential but you will need to be able to ride 2 and 4 wheelers. remuneration will be located on practice. Can look at short term contract also.
