Region: Wellington

Kia ora,
We are seeking for a live in au-pair for our family of four to start at the end of April 2021. We have two daughters, Annabel (4yrs) and Alice (2yrs) + a lovely Bernese mountain dog called Willa. Both Quentin and I are Police agents and work shift work.

We need approximately 30 hours of help each week. The primary function will be taking care of the kids. We would also like help with their meals and household tasks relating to the children. About a quarter of the hours are over night when we are both working and the kids are asleep.
We have both grown up in Wellington and have family close by who are a big part of our lives.

Annabel attends playcentre weekday mornings and Alice goes twice a week, and has casual activities that we go and do together. As a family we regularly go swimming at the local pool, and love taking Willa, our dog, on bush walks.
We live in Ngaio, a family orientated suburb in the hills of Wellington. We have a four bedroom house looking out over native bush, across the hills. The room for our au-pair is a large bedroom with their own bathroom and external access. This is on the ground floor, all the other rooms of the house are above which means you will get a lot of privacy if you want.
As we both do shift work the hours are a bit varied.
Weekday mornings can involve playcentre drop off for Annabel, and then your main function would be to take care of Alice. Weekday afternoons generally involve a trip to the pool or a walk in the bush, depending what the weather is doing!
In the evenings, you may be rostered to help with the dinner and bedtime routine (we have Information technology pretty sorted but nice to have help!)

Due to the rotating shift work pattern some weekend work would be required, however we can be flexible with this if you had an event you wanted to attend, we'd just need some prior warning.

We would pay you $200 a week and provide you with $20 cellphone credit a month and a train pass to use while working and in your personal time. You would not need to do any driving and the train station is very close by.
Annabel, Alice and I are vegetarians and Quentin eats meat, so we can easily accommodate either diets.
