Currently bowed stringed instruments are the area of focus, although occasionallypercussion, piano and vocal tutors are also required.
We are seeking for teachers and/or teaching adjuncts to fill several different functions.
While some functions (eg. teaching adjunct in a school setting) require advanced personal expertise, patience, resilience, musicality, empathy, and competence inviolin or cello, others(such as pre-school music tutor or tutor's adjunct)require less advanced technicalexpertise, pairedwith a deep love of music and enthusiasm for teaching young people.
Teachersproviding group tuition will need to have exceptional interpersonal expertise, exceptional musicality and excellent bowed stringed instrumentexpertise (minimum Grade 8 level).
Those providing chamber music coaching or individual tutiion to advanced students will need to be highly skilled and practiced in their field (preferably with a music degree and practice playing in a professional setting).
Virtuoso Strings prides itself on its innovative approachto music learning. All functions require hugeflexibility and creativity,as well asa genuineavailability to adapt one's teaching methods to match the unique Virtuoso Strings kaupapa and way of working.
It also goes without saying that allfunctions demand an absolute commitment to reducing inequity, removing barriers, enhancing access & inclusivity, and fostering talent and excellence.
