A dynamic leader in strategic thought who will implement new initiatives to increase knowledge and knowledge of Te Ao M?ori, m?tauranga M?ori, tikanga across Te M?t?puna.
For this position you will:
   » Have a tertiary degree in M?ori Development, or equivalent practice
   » Have a minimum of 5 years of practice in cultural capcapability/safety and the principles of equity and diversity
   » Excellent communication expertise in both te reo M?ori and English
   » Information technology and Learning Design (LX) expertise
Ko wai m?tou?
Te M?t?puna is AUT’s whare pukapuka. Our name speaks to the special connection AUT has to the underground waterways, tributaries and rivers that continue to flow through T?maki Makaurau connecting us to both the Manukau and Waitemat? harbours. Each m?t?puna is seen as the fountain of knowledge for their campus. In that sense, the City Campus library is ‘Te M?t?puna ki Waihorotiu’, the North Campus library, ‘Te M?t?puna ki Akoranga’, and the South Campus library as ‘Te M?t?puna ki Manukau’.
Our aim is to build cultural competence and embed culturally safe practices into our planning and operations across the library. We want to better equip the division to contribute to honouring AUT’s commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and living te ao M?ori values of tika, pono me aroha.
In this position you will:
   » Develop and implement strategic initiatives that honour our commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi
   » Build culturally safe practices across the division
   » Build relationships and shared practices across the division that instils confidence in our tangata whenua and tangata tiriti to share this journey
This position is located at the Te M?t?puna o Waihorotiu but will involve also working at both Te M?t?puna o Akoranga and Te M?t?puna o Manukau.
This is a full-time (75 hours per fortnight) position requiring some flexibility of hours.
income range $81,984 – $100,387
